Ten techniques to improve the user experience.

Tools and information to improve the UX user experience in digital assets

The user experience on the website is no less important than its promotion

User experience and promotion

The user experience on the website is no less important than its promotion. In fact, it is a direct link to sales on the site. user experience Deficient, you will not allow the site to receive sales, and you will lower the potential inherent in it. In other words - if we get about 50 leads a month, with a good user experience we can get 70-80 leads a month.

The importance of a good user experience

The importance of the user experience is not in doubt, the requirements for the course and profession are very high. Its great importance is in achieving the goals and understanding the surfers, and above all to pave the way for the surfers to better understand the system and get the best answer. Every action we take on the site with an emphasis on UX Improve our conversion rates. Our biggest goal is to minimize the amount of existing obstacles, and fix the worst. The only thing we don't want to encounter is - when the surfers are stuck or confused. This is expressed in the data that is visible when completing form details, or making a purchase on the website.
When building a new website or upgrading it, the user experience should be taken into account. The steps to which we would like to direct the surfer until the goal is achieved. That is, landing on the home page, clicking on a designed button: "Contact", until filling in the details. This is an example of a basic user experience. So, having understood how important the UX is on a website, we will now move on to the top 10 techniques for creating a good user experience on WEB sites.

What is user experience in a nutshell?

User experience is a combination of actions that affect the surfer during the process. Whether he is looking for information, a service, or a specific product on the site. A proper user experience is able to influence the surfer's decisions quite significantly. Because of this, she is able to donate to us and turn him from a surfer to a potential customer.
Think of it this way - there is a book you are reading, and the book is probably divided into dozens of pages. Between page after page, between topics, the readers actually go through some kind of process. This process is called: "user experience", or in the most professional term - User Experience (abbreviation of UX).
The user experience combines design, elements, and text. These are essential tools that every digital agency specializing in services Google website promotion must know So... how do we create a good user experience on the site? Going forward…

Ten techniques to improve the user experience on the website

1. Don't try to reinvent the wheel

Don't try to reinvent the wheel - we often hear this concept, but its importance is significant. All we are saying is not to reinvent things, we want to be unique, but at the same time, we may fall. It's almost impossible to change people's habits, don't try to be sophisticated or creative when you don't have to. In some situations, we will do this; still, some things must remain as written in the book. For example, if people are used to the logo being on the right side, the main menu at the top, social media links in the potter or above the maple, then we would like to keep the "fixed" things as they are, and not change them or their position drastically. This may lead to a poor user experience, and confuse their minds.

another example: It is actually on the site we came across, that the menu is there but to display it you need to click. Which leads to uncertainty, and a bad user experience.

In short, we need to lead the surfer, show him the way, but remember to keep the rules as they are. We can make our small and unique adjustments, but without harming the old and familiar habit of surfers.

2. Less stress will do you good

We came across a lot of sites that literally: "shout", want attention. Don't use flashy fonts, aggressive animations, and most importantly - don't try to load too much. At the end of the day, unorganized, busy websites will receive a response from the user: "Where the hell have I gotten to?!". In fact, these are sites that try to look their best, and fail along the way. A website designed in a wrong way, is a website that does not deserve to be considered. We understand that you are interested in a site that looks like a million dollars, an aesthetic site, but a busy site is a site that does not look good, that alienates users, and will create a problem that will end up costing you a lot of money.

3. Emphasize the main thing and not the bland

As a business owner, I know very well that the Israeli arena is an arena of give and take. That is, the surfers try to find the information, service or product, in the fastest way. This is for various reasons such as: laziness, lack of time, and prolonged fatigue. In order to deal with the phenomenon, we will emphasize the main thing. Whether it's buttons, links, and even graphic images. Our goal is to highlight things that will make surfers pay attention to them in a better way. If we want to inform the surfers that this month we have special offers, we can do it with a designed image, and preferably it should be as close as possible to Hadar in the slider. And if, for example, we want to highlight a contact button, we add an icon, background colors, and of course nice animation transitions. You can do all this using Elementor, or using CSS. Also, make sure all changes look good on mobile as well and not just on desktop.

4. Delete words that are not significant

Today, in our small country, and also in the whole world. People tend to "scan" than read. Therefore, think carefully about the paragraphs, about the choice of words on the home page, and remove words that are unwanted or of little importance to surfers. Think about what really helps surfers, what they care about. In other words - reduce the amount of content, and concentrate more mainly. For example, we saw lots of sites with pages referring to a specific service. For example - a locksmith in Haifa. Surfers are not really interested in how to choose a locksmith (if you did, you really wrote Barka), nor about "the need for a locksmith". These are more about the service, what is included in the price, and a little about the professional. Consider also presenting some valuable video or visual content, such as: photos, presentations, videos, infographics, and maybe a nice GIF. Remember not to exaggerate and strike the right balance between text and visual content (mirror).

5. Site navigation

6. Floating menu

On WordPress sites there are templates that do not support and those that do. The surfer should know where everything is. And if at any stage, he wants to get to the "letters / thanks" page, he will be able to do so in an easy and convenient way. Using a floating menu will usually help and leave the surfer with the right impression.

7. Use the mega menu

Another way to profit from the whole story is to use mega menus in the secondary menu. You can see the correct use of the mega menu on the largest shopping site in the world, Amazon. Also, for each secondary menu we can define a dedicated and relevant background, so that the surfer knows that this menu focuses on categories in the field of clothing, for example. And in contrast, another menu that deals with the categories of underwear, or children's clothing, will be accessible if the background is different and suitable. The menus must be organized correctly.

8. Attach essential links during maintenance \ on 404 pages

Don't miss opportunities, always make it easy for the surfer. That is, if the site went down to maintenance, place a number of essential links that might be relevant. Another thing, set up custom 404 pages. Build them to your liking, and next to the error add a number of essential links such as - the home page, and/or your services.

9. Use dice

In almost every website, we think that the need for service blocks is an integral part of the experience. Already on the home page, we can route the surfer using the cubes to the desired services—for example, computer maintenance, data recovery, etc. The cubes must contain a link through which the surfer will click and be directed to the desired page. Using relevant icons will increase the experience. As we said, surfers scan. The icons will allow the surfer to understand that this page deals with virus scanning without reading the text.

10. Use the button "to the top of the page"

While the surfer went down to the middle of the page or the bottom, we can show him a button that allows him to go to the top of the page with a short click. Something that will make it even easier for the surfer when visiting the site. Attach a suitable icon to the button, and the button should be as prominent as possible! Background may help.

And finally - analyze the movement and measure successes and failures

In each UX characterization and performance of tasks, one of the things we will do is analyze the movement of surfers on the site, and together with it measure the successes and failures and draw lessons. This can be done using many tools, including Google's tool: Google Analytics. and through HotJar, which records the surfers' movements, and also provides heat maps.
Measurement is the most important part of the UX process.

In conclusion

User experience is not an exact science, but there are certain things we can do to improve the browsing experience on the website, and increase monthly sales. Thinking outside the box is an essential skill when working. We recommend that every marketing company, agency, learn the profession in an orderly manner in an in-depth course. And don't forget - each interface is different and requires a unique characterization - each case individually. Hope we helped you, thanks.
